newest model. Why can’t we be
happy with what we have?
Our culture has instilled traditions upon
us that when we give a gift we should
get one in return, but without cost we
received therefore without cost we are
to give.
How can we be like the disciples this
Holiday season and give without re-
ceiving in return? How can we begin
harvesting our crop to ensure a fruitful
eternity?
Prayer
Lord, in this holy season of prayer and song and laughter, we praise
you for the great wonders you have sent us: for shining star and an-
gel's song, for infants cry in lowly manger. We praise you for the
Word made flesh in a little Child. We behold his glory, and are bathed
in its radiance.
