The second reading says, “In him we were ALSO chosen, destined in
accord with the purpose of the One who accomplishes all things ac-
cording to the intention of his will, so that we might exist for the
praise of his glory...” Ephesians 1:11-12
We often look at other people’s lives and think “Wow, I’m glad I’m
not him or her” or “Man, I wish I was her or him.” It’s time we look
within and hear the voice of God saying, “I have chosen YOU, I love
YOU, I created YOU to exist for the praise of MY glory.” We were
given the beautiful, yet sometimes very hard, gift of free will. Just like
Mary, she could have said “no”, but said “yes”. Just like Mary, we
can say “no” to God’s favor and His Word in us, but we can also say
“YES”. And when we do the world is a better place, our lives are ful-
filled in a special way, and God is glorified!
Prayer
Dear Lord, Thank you! Thank you for the gift and example of Our
Lady’s yes. Thank you for her yes and how it changed our lives.
Lord, so many times I want to say no, but you have taught me that
when I say yes to you, my hearts desires are fulfilled. Always give me
the grace to say yes to you.
Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception... pray for us!!!
Amen
