Our faith calls us to do the impossible: to trust the impossible, to love the impos-
sible and to forgive the
impossible. Jesus as-
sures us that all we need
to make possible the im-
possible is to have faith
the size of a mustard
seed—a minute amount!
It is this tiny bit of faith
which can restore our
relationship with God
and with our neighbors.
It is this tiny bit of faith
which can make the Reign of God possible in our time and place, filling the world
with love and justice. What miracles Jesus offers us...and so easily in our
grasp, if we just take that leap of faith, across a chasm the size of a mustard
seed!
Prayer
Oh God, give me the faith of a mustard seed so that I can be filled with your love.
Let it be your love that is my filter on the world—so that I see my neighbors
through your eyes and hear their stories through your ears. Help me to act with
love and justice, striving always to do your will. We ask this through your Son,
Jesus Christ. Amen.
