Luke 21:20-28
Summary

trap to have him punished for praying to God. He survives being cast
in den of lions. This is a story of Daniel’s great faith in God.
Reflection
Daniel is a chosen one. We too are chosen ones. God has invited
each of us to be his beloved disciples. As I read about Daniel several
times over, the two messages that
jumped out were 1) Daniel found suc-
cess without compromising character
and 2) obeying and trusting in God
saves you! Daniel won the favor of
King Darius over many others (thus the
jealous enemies). Did he claw his way
to the top? No. He maintained his in-
tegrity and worked hard, all while being
a man of great faith and prayer. He
led a life that wasn’t open to accusa-
tion. His enemies could only fault him
