from your head without the permission of the Father (Luke 21, 18). And so many
hairs fall from our head! This is why, “Do not fear, you are worth more than many
sparrows”.
This was made known to me as I was facilitating one of the Living Your Gifts
Seminar. As each participant goes over the talents God has given, we discover
even though we had never named these gifts before coming to the seminar, we,
time and time again, realize that the gifts, given by God, has been with us our
whole life. This revelation allows us not only to see God’s mysterious hand guid-
ing our paths—it also opens up the possibility to build more goodness with our
lives. God knows not only the number of hairs, but also our talents, our wishes
and dreams, our needs and our wants. When God directs us to learn more about
ourselves it allows us to serve God and God’s people. When we discover that all
we have is at the prompting of the one who made the universe, it becomes the
catalyst to want to do more, serve more, and learn more.
Prayer
How many times, O Lord, have you said to me, “Do not be afraid?’ Yet every day
I find myself being afraid of something. You are always with me, protecting me
and showing me the way. May I never be afraid with you at my side.
