clamor is for more and more. More pleasure. More savings. But what counts in
the eyes of God is how we have treated the hidden Christ – the poor, the sick,
the elderly, the outcast. Only in reaching out do we lose our self centeredness
and fill our heavenly barns.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, hover over us to make our hearts burn with love for our neighbor.
Quell our desires for more and more physical pleasures and material things, and
inspire us to reach out and help those around us, especially those most in need.
We ask this through Christ, Our Lord.
