Summary
There is no need to be afraid, fear is a lack of trust in The Lord, as
the response to the Psalm today says,
The Lord is my light and sal-
vation
.
Do I believe this and
,
more importantly
,
live it? God is always
present to us as he was to the two blind men.
Reflection
Jesus continually told us that The Kingdom of heaven is amongst us
in the here and now. One wonders why we made it into a reward sys-
tem for later or as someone put it a "divine evacuation plan from this
world".
St. Catherine of Sienna put this very nicely when she said " it
is heaven all the way to heaven and it is hell all the way to hell".
Why
can't we see this?
Just like the two blind
men
,
we too need our eyes to be opened so
that we can see what really matters and is
important.
Very often we attach much more importance
to success, power, money and control (read
"our kingdoms") rather than to the Lordship
of Jesus and the
Kingdom of
God.
